The 4th Annual Brooklyn Waterfront Epic Ride

The Epic is a 40-mile ride from Newtown Creek in Greenpoint to Rockaway Beach via the Brooklyn and Queens waterfronts. The route will be marketing, allowing riders to travel in a group that moves at their own pace. A rest stop with refreshments will be provided at Aviator Sports at Floyde Bennett Field and the ride will enda t the new Rockaway Beach Club food fendors on the boardwalk. Water, restrooms and bike stops along the way will be marked on ride maps.

We are also recruiting 60 marshals and other ride support volunteers (non-riders) for this 600-person ride. If you are an experienced cyclist, you can participate in the Epic Ride at no charge by serving as a ride marshal. Mandatory marshal training and orientation will occur the evening of July 10, 2012. Non-riding volunteers will help with event coordination, directing riders, registration at ride starts and staffing the end of the ride.
