Aviator Sports Hockey Program is for the House/Travel player ages 5 to 17.  The Fall/Winter House hockey program will consist of 1 practice and 1 game per week. All practices and games will be 80 minute ice slots!  Each game will be up-tempo with elite coaching from our Aviator Sports professional hockey staff.

 

Boys and girls who were born in the years 1990 through 2002 are eligible for the youth house league which will encompass Mite through Midget levels. 

 

Youth players at any level are welcome to join the house league.  All players, regardless of skill or experience, will receive equal playing time.  Under the direction of Chris Werstine, Aviator Hockey Director the objective of the league is to teach strong fundamental skills, while building a sense of teamwork and game strategy.  The program centers on skill and team development and to encourage confidence and self-esteem in each participant both on and off the ice.  Aviator Sports and Recreation will be following the rules, regulations and guidelines of USA Hockey.

 

SESSIONS:   Begins week of September 15, 2008

AGES:            5-17 years old

COST:            $850 per player

SEASON:       20 week season (September-March)

One practice/week and one game/week (20 games/20 practices)

Prerequisite: Aviator Initiation program, Aviator Learn to Skate program or other House League experience.

• Mite:  ages 2000, 2001, 2002
• Squirt:  ages 1999, 1998
• Pee Wee: ages 1996, 1997
• Bantam:  ages 1994, 1995
• Midget:  ages 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993

Full Equipment Required:
• Helmet with full face mask
• Mouth guard
• Neck guard
• Shoulder pads
• Hockey skates
• Hockey pants
• Hockey gloves
• Shin pads
• Athletic support with cup (boys) or pelvic protector (girls)
• Elbow pads
• Hockey stick
