    Those riding the MTA's Q35 bus should request to be dropped off at the second Floyd Bennett Field bus stop, in front of the Ryan Visitor Center.

It is approximately 1.3 miles south to the main entrance at Floyd Bennett Field

    -At the 4th traffic light make a left hand turn into Floyd Bennett Field

    -Go .2 of a mile and make a left hand turn onto the main runway

    -Take the main runway straight .8 of a mile make left hand turn in to the big parking lot in front of Aviator Sports

    Aviator Sports and Events Center is proud to be working with the Bergen Beach, Mill Basin & Marine Park Relay For Life team as they set out to break the World Record for the largest indoor Zumba® class, while raising money for the American Cancer Society.

    Special Olympics New York - Rugged Run For Respect

    The Rugged Run for Respect is an extreme and unique 5k obstacle course equipped with dirt trails, hills, water, a low crawl, five foot wall to scale, mud pit and so much more!  Thousands of runners will get ‘down and dirty’ at Aviator Sports and Event Center in Brooklyn, NY on October 13, 2012.  Rugged Run for Respect is open to anyone (age 16 and over) willing to channel their inner competitor.     This competition is designed for all level athletes to test strength, endurance and agility. Race day structure consists of “The PIT” (strength element) transitioning into a mountain run with military obstacles positioned throughout. The difficulty of the course is determined by you the competitor, whether you are a weekend warrior looking for the ultimate challenge or a competitive athlete looking to win... CMC is for you.

    This race structure has been carefully created, refined and reviewed by the top strength and conditioning coaches from the CrossFit community, United States Armed Forces and USA Triathlon Organization Race Directors.!

    The 4th Annual Brooklyn Waterfront Epic Ride

    The Epic is a 40-mile ride from Newtown Creek in Greenpoint to Rockaway Beach via the Brooklyn and Queens waterfronts. The route will be marked, allowing riders to travel in a group that moves at their own pace. A rest stop with refreshments will be provided at Aviator Sports at Floyde Bennett Field and the ride will enda t the new Rockaway Beach Club food fendors on the boardwalk. Water, restrooms and bike stops along the way will be marked on ride maps.
