Youth Baseball Development Clinics

Overview

The Youth Development Baseball Program at Aviator Sports and Events Center is for children looking to take their games to the next level. Drills include soft toss, hitting off the tee, fielding grounders, throwing, and running the bases. During this six-week program, coaches will reinforce and refine what they learn, helping them become a well-rounded baseball player.

Kids that are seven and older have begun to develop a certain sense of coordination and with proper instruction can become very effective at baseball.  It is believed that these years are the most critical for developing proper fundamentals. The Youth Development Baseball Program develops young players with prior experience, but the program also helps children learn and excel at baseball if they haven’t played during or before these years.

As players learn how to throw, our coaches reinforce muscle memory. Building the proper muscle memory at an early age will help them enjoy the game much more.

Players will also learn more about backing plays up. While younger kids may watch plays develop, at these ages players should have and will learn to move to back up a unit no matter what position they play. It is important that kids seven and older understand that they should be hustling on every play, and there is always a position that they could be backing up.
