The Aviator Sports and Events Fitness Center provides the New York City Boroughs with a unique membership opportunity to be part of a fitness facility and multisport mega complex. The Fitness Center is located deep in the heart of the Aviator Sports and Events Center. With over 5,000 square feet of state-of-the-art Hammer Strength weight training equipment and Life Fitness cardiovascular machines, you’re sure to find the equipment needed to build muscle, lose weight, and stay fit.  We also have a 2,500 square foot indoor turf for flipping tires and pulling sleds, as well as a 60 x 100 sand volley ball pit.

  • Saturday: 7:00am – 8:00pm
  • Sunday: 7:00am – 6:00pm

Zumba© –  a fusion of body sculpting movements that are fun and easy to follow. The dance steps can be done by anyone that has two feet and wants to move. The classes consist of a combination of Jazz, Hip-hop, Latin, Pop, Rock, Belly Dancing and much more. Spin- high-intensity, low-impact, calorie blasting fun on a stationary bike.  Spin is great for shaping and toning your lower body while increasing your overall cardiovascular strength.
 
TRX – Minimize your training time , maximize your results.  build strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, core and joint stability with the use of suspension cables and your own body weight and gravity.
 
Kick Boxing –you will be burning fat and toning up by punching and kicking a real heavy bag. Burn up to 1200 calories per hour.
 
Zumba –incorporates  footwork and body movement from flamenco, salsa and other dances. You will dip, slide and spin to a frenzied beat and leave with flushed cheeks and dripping wet.
 
Metabolic Blast- intervals of hard work and short rest periods to produce maximum fat loss in the shortest period of time.a combination of body weight exercises, resistance training. plyometrics, calisthenics and speed drills.

Hot Ass Yoga- Powerful Vinyasa flow mixed with some holds to get your muscles quivering. The class is designed to shape your ass , not teach you about the eight fold path. Done in a heated room. Not for beginners.

Heated Yoga- Improves circulation, burns fat, tones the body and cleanses the organs. The heat allows for a deeper stretch and helps detoxification.
 
Power Yoga- Emphasizing strength and flexibility, power yoga is synchronous breathing with strong flowing movement for a high energy workout. It builds strength, flexibility and mental focus with the final result being a release of tension and toned muscles.
 
Epro Fitness – Developed by a former NFL wide receiver to train the working public like the multi-million dollar athletes! This  type of training will not only give you an extreme cardio workout, it will help develop lean muscle that will continue to burn calories after the hour is complete. Aviator’s Fitness Center is staffed with some of NYC’s greatest professional trainers featuring a multitude of backgrounds and experience. Sign up for one of our many group programs or set up your consultation for personal training. Our trainer’s will create the custom workout and nutrition program that works for you!

Irene Schmidt – Fitness Director

Aerobics Certified and teaching for the last 15 years, Irene Schmidt is not only the Fitness Director but also one of Brooklyn’s Premier Aerobics Instructors. AFFA Classes include Step Aerobics, body sculpting, interval training and cardio pump. A mother of four, Irene is always developing new and inventive classes for people of all ages and health.

Mark Burik – CSCS Sports Performance Specialist

Mark comes to Aviator as a graduate of George Mason University with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. During his time at George Mason, he played Division 1 volleyball, earning numerous awards including being named to the EIVA All-East Team twice and the EIVA All-Academic Team three times. He also served as Co-Captain his senior year.

Mark has interned for the Wellness Program of the San Diego Fire Department and recently was with Velocity Sports Performance where he worked alongside coaches and players of various professional teams, including the Washington Nationals baseball team, D.C. United soccer team and the Washington Bayhawks men’s lacrosse team. Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from personal training and sports performance to Aviator Sports. His combination of innovative body morphing techniques and performance training are extremely effective.

Mike Bataze

With a passion for fitness and training, Mike Bataze has more than 10 years experience with fitness and weight training. A certified trainer with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) for the last seven years, Mike has experience creating customized fitness routines based on client needs, conditioning, and goals.
