AVIATOR SPORTS IS OPEN AGAIN!

AVIATOR SPORTS REOPENS AS NATIONAL GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN ENDS Floyd Bennett Field allowed to open again after 17 days of closure.

October 17, 2013 (Brooklyn, NY) Aviator Sports has survived the Government Shutdown and is once again open and ready for the community to return.

Management and staff are currently working to reschedule affected events, practices, activities and leagues. All regularly scheduled activities will resume including fall sports leagues and the popular 7­day-a­week Public Skating. Other events that are set to go on as planned include the 1st Annual Oktoberfest this Saturday,Halloween Costume Party and Run For Your Lives 5k race on October 26th.

Aviator Sports and Events Center is an authorized Concessionaire of the Department of the Interior, National Park Service at Gateway National Recreation Area, thus falls under the direction of the National Government. The 17 day closure resulted in numerous leagues, events and activities being cancelled, rescheduled and postponed and hundreds of thousands of locals being without access to the 175,000 square foot sports and events center.

We thank our customers for their tremendous support and understanding through this closure.
