Aviator Black 14U Players of the Month are Caoimhe Gormeley and Madelyn Hanley
Caoimhe Gormeley – Caoimhe has continued to impress her coaches with awesome defense in the libero position. She has constantly stepped up on serve receive and pass 90% of her balls to target. Caoimhe’s court awareness has improved a great deal. She reads the attacker well, and anticipates and tracks the ball with precision. Caoimhe always displays a relentless pursuit of the ball, allowing very few to drop. At the Capitol Hill Classic and GE Aviator 14U Club Tournament combined Caoimhe averaged 4 digs per match – 62 digs total.” – Coach Avril
Madelyn Hanley – “Madelyn has been working diligently on getting the outside set outside and higher. There has been a constant improvement in her overall game. She is determined to bring a high level of energy and a positive attitude to the game. At the Capitol Hill Classic and GE Aviator 14U Club Tournament combined Madelyn averaged 10 Assists per match – 127 Assists total.” – Coach Avril
Aviator Black 16U Player of the Month is Meleina Genova.
“Meleina has truly stepped up as a player this month. She has been staying an hour after her practice each day, and her efforts have shown through during our games. While at Capitol Hill, Meleina was placed in as our libero and transitioned flawlessly between playing middle back and left back. At our most recent tournament in Long Island, she stepped up to play outside in the front row. She is a true team player and continues to improve in all aspects of the game. I’m eager to see how she excels during the rest of the reason.” – Coach Meg Wheeler
Aviator Black 18U Player of the Month is Grace Kane.
“Grace is a true team player on and off the court. She is a big part of our current success is her passing and defense. She is asked to play 2 different positions (right side and libero) and she excels in both of them.” – Coach Nicholas Zavalkov
