Our Summer Camp Encompasses Sports, Arts, and science

Our summer camp in Brooklyn is located within the largest sports complex in New York inside the repurposed aircraft hangers of Floyd Bennett Field.

Aviator Sports is under the supervision of the New York Parks Police, with 24/7 private security monitoring the facility at all times.

The summer camp is divided into four divisions; Junior Camp (Ages 3-5), Younger Division (Ages 6-8), Older Division (Ages 9-11), and Teen Division (Ages 12-14).

General camp hours are from 9:00 am- 5:00 pm, (with an extended option available from 7:30 am- 6:30 pm), with groups following a daily rotating schedule of 5 activities a day.

Summer Camps utilizes the indoor and outdoor facilities including basketball courts, synthetic turf fields, a gymnastics center, two ice skating rinks, 35-foot rock wall, and arcade.

experience-Based Field Trips

Each division (excluding ages 3-5) has a weekly field trip outside the facility grounds, with transportation provided from Aviator Sports.

Parents and guardians are given prior notice to all future outings.

Activities are led by professionals in their department, tailored to suit their developmental level and skill set.

Your camper will have 15 peers within his/her co-ed group, with two General Counselors, one Head Counselor and overseen by a Division Leader.

Our dedicated and highly trained staff prioritize every camper’s safety with a fulfilling summer experience through low staff to camper ratios and individualized attention. 

All activities are developed through the Project Based Learning curriculum to coincide with the current Department of Education standards. 

We have created an environment where we strive to develop a camper’s self-confidence, moral character, social skill and well as promote healthy living while peeking camper’s interests and skill development in sports, art, culture and of course FUN!

Junior Camps

OVERVIEW

Junior camp is designed especially for our youngest camper, ages 3-5.

Junior camp at Aviator Sports is modeled after Universal Pre-K.

Weekly themes are incorporated into structured camp activities, circle time and choice periods.

Campers learn how to socialize with their peer group, preparing them for their first school years ahead.

Activities are led by professionals in their department, tailored to suit their developmental level and skill set. In addition, Junior campers have two snack times and a rest period.

Younger Camps

OVERVIEW

Campers enrolled in the Younger Division will be learning the fundamentals of all the activities offered at camp.

New activities at the Younger Division level are introduced, such as; ice skating and weekly field trips encompassing what the campers have been learning at Aviator Sports Summer Day Camp.

An emphasis is pushed on developing respect for others, positive communication, confidence, a sense of creativity and “out of the box” thinking.

Fundamental skills are developed through professionally led activities tailored to suit the camper’s developmental level.

Campers in the Older Division are exposed to all Aviator Sports Summer Day Camp has to offer.

Fundamental skills are developed through professionally led activities tailored to suit the camper’s developmental level.

Sports leagues challenge your camper to develop teamwork and sportsmanship within their division.

Within the Older Division, we promote choice and independence  to develop new interests, creative self-expression, positive social interactions with peers and staff and a greater sense of connection with others.
