FIGURE SKATING: Learn To Skate Program

Starting January 23rd the Figure Skating Department will be running a Saturday class of Youth Learn To Skate. The class will be limited to 20 children.

Due to high demand, we have added a Sunday class starting on February 7th, like the Saturday classes it will be limited to 20 children.

Ages: 5-12

Time:  11:20 a.m. – 12:20 p.m.

Registration fees: $210 for 6 classes

Learn To Skate program includes

  • 30 minutes of instruction
  • 30 minutes of practice
  • Free ice skate rentals (for students)

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • Liability waiver MUST be signed before the class
  • No makeup classes
  • NO CLASSES will be carried over into the next semester
  • The maximum class size is 20 students.
  • 1 parent/guardian may spectate. They must wear a mask at all times and maintain social distance.
  • We test skaters in order that they may advance to the next level.
  • We reserve the right to cancel classes due to insufficient registration.
  • Private lessons and semi– private lessons from our professional staff are available during the 1/2 hour of practice. (Saturdays only)
  • We strongly advise all students to wear helmets, warm loose clothing, gloves and thin socks or tights. Tots (6 and under) MUST wear a helmet.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of class to get skates and be prepared to enter the ice on time.
  • No Refunds will be given after 1st class attended.

Aviator Ice Academy’s Learn to Skate program follows the skating curriculum set by the United States Figure Skating Association Basic Skills program.

Skaters will remain enthusiastic as they learn ice skating from the start as the program fosters fun and learning in a positive environment of encouraging staff professionals.
