Hockey Program - Youth

Youth Hockey Program Overview

In-House Hockey Program

Aviator Sports Youth Hockey Program is for players ages 5 to 17. The In-House Hockey Program will consist of 1 practice and 1 game per week. All practices will be 65-minute ice slots and all games will be 60-80 minute ice slots! Each game will be up-tempo with elite coaching from our Aviator Sports professional hockey staff. Boys and girls who were born in the years 1997 through 2010 are eligible for the Youth House League which will encompass Mite through Midget levels. Youth players at any level are welcome to join the house league. All players, regardless of skill or experience, will receive equal playing time.

Under the direction of Chris Werstine (Aviator Hockey Director), the objective of the league is to teach strong fundamental skills, while building a sense of teamwork and game strategy. The program centers on skill and team development and to encourage confidence and self-esteem in each participant both on and off the ice. Aviator Sports and Events will be following the rules, regulations, and guidelines of USA Hockey.

In-House Hockey Program for the TRAVEL HOCKEY PLAYER!

This program is designed for the Youth Travel Hockey Player who wants competition!  Due to the recent pandemic, many players have lost the opportunity to play games while missing out on key “game situations” (positioning D-Zone, N-Zone, and O-Zone) concepts.  We will also cover Power Play and Penalty Kill situations.  Every player signed up for this program will be allowed to PLAY in every situation! The Referee on the ice will also serve as a Coach & will provide instruction and reinforcement.  Our Coaches will be Aviator Coaching Staff members, as well as prior Junior Hockey and collegiate Players. We applaud all the spring travel programs that are available but what this program will guarantee is competition under one roof during the uncertainty of Covid & State Restrictions…  You will get the leg up on the competition going into the 21-22 season as our staff will push the pace of games and foster a positive environment!

This is IDEAL for 8U, 10U, and 12U Participants that need experience!

If we get strong requests for 13-17 year old’s we will provide the opportunity as well.
